How to reset the password on HP-UX

-Use command such as “sam” as root

1) sam

2) accounts for user and groups

3) users & enter

4) scroll to users & highlight userName

5) space and enter

6) tab around to and go to action

7) modify security policies

8) password aging policies

9) disabled, save & exit

 

You can see the user password expiration date by this command

cat /tcb/files/auth/u/userName
