Clean tapes on NetBackup
Cleaning up the tapes on SL3000 & TS4300 via NetBackup
Logon to the netbackup GUI
Go to Media and Device Management -> Media -> Robot -> TLD(0) -> select the tape (Robot) you want labeled as “CLN###”
eject one of configured cleaning tape, take out the label and put on to the new cleaning tape, put it inside the I/O slot on storage machine
Right click on Robots and click “Robot Inventory”
click “Update volume configuration” and start the operation
do it again with “Update volume configuration” and “Empty media access port prior to update”
the new tapes are now loaded on to the netbackup & storage machine
